Throughout the academic year Schools are called upon to complete a number of statutory returns, everything from Pupil Census to School Workforce Census. Using e1 gives Schools the ability to complete these returns fast. Where Schools are providing returns to their Authorities, those Authorities could use the Phoenix information interchange (Pii) to automatically extract the information it requires to complete these returns without the need to wait for the School.

The heart of pupil performance within e1 lies in the area of assessments. It is the ability to track how a pupil is progressing throughout their academic year for each assessment, every term and from year to year.

The way that e1 handles assessments enables teachers to easily identify if a pupil is excelling in particular subjects, not progressing or falling behind. It does this by offering the user a series of options – colour coding, numerical or alphabetical scoring.

Users are able to further analyse the results, create reports and arrange for any action necessary to provide assistance to those pupils in need.

Other functionality within e1 can then be utilised for example provisioning to set a corrective action plan into place or if more in depth understanding is required, cross checks with the Monitoring module can take place.

This powerful functionality enables users to gain a far greater understanding of all the factors that may be affecting pupils and provides the flexibility to be able to help far quicker than ever before.
